Arenal Rafting Class II & III - Balsa River

As you make your way through exciting rapids, we’ll be sure to get your adrenaline pumping!  About half way down the river, you’ll stop and watch the rapids from the shore, while enjoying refreshing tropical fruit and relaxing with the rest of the group. Take a swim and enjoy the rushing waters around you! Then, after the second leg of your rafting journey, you’ll finish the day with a delicious traditional lunch before heading back to your hotel.

Arenal Waterfall Rappel

Go where very few have had the privilege to roam in the Lost Canyon of Costa Rica! Grab your helmet, strap on your harness, and prepare yourself for the adventure of a lifetime! Canyoneering is a brand-new sport that’s becoming very popular all over the world, especially in Costa Rica. The rugged, mountainous terrain near the Arenal Volcano is the perfect place for first-timers and experienced canyoning enthusiasts to do a variety of fun activities as you hike deep into the rainforest and rappel massive waterfalls – the largest waterfall is almost 200ft high! Arenal Waterfall Rappel: Costa Rica's best multi-sport adventure near the Arenal Volcano!  You'll be rappelling down huge waterfalls, jumping into pools, zipping your way down on guided rappels, river tracing along the canyon, climbing down the canyon walls and river boulders and hiking up through the rainforest. You will get suited up with high-quality canyoneering gear. Your professional guides will give you a full safety talk and then we will head to the starting point of the Lost Canyon. Start off the rappelling-leg of your canyoning journey with the first waterfall referred to as the "Baby" -- a small-sized 10-ft waterfall that allows you to practice and ease your way into learning the ropes -- literally.  You will then hike deep into the rocky terrain of the wet and wild rainforest, surrounded by huge rocks, trees, and flowing streams. You’ll soon reach what we fondly call the “Big Boy” -- the second largest waterfall. Imagine this: there you are, on a sturdy platform looking down into the depths of a massive 150-ft tropical waterfall. You’ll start off by rappelling down the rock face and about half way through you’ll hear “LET GO!” – a few moments later you’ll have experienced your first guided, adrenaline pumping free fall!  You will finish your adventure with a 200ft waterfall drop -- rappelling part of the way and then letting go of the reins to experience another guided free fall drop! Talk about adrenaline! You'll be wanting even more rappels at the end of this amazing adventure! We then hike back up to the top (10-20 minutes), change into dry clothes, and head up to the Canyon Café where there will be a well-deserved homemade lunch waiting for you!

Congo Trail ATV and Zip Combo

This is one of our most popular tours! Our guides will take you up to the mountains on the Monkey Trail. The trail begins behind Potrero Beach by ATV to the Congo Trail Zip-Line Canopy Area. Spend your time up in the top of the Guanacaste Trees and maybe you'll spot some Howler Monkeys or Spider Monkeys. After 2 hours zip-lining through the jungle, as you have never experienced it before, have some refreshments and relax.  Choose between the 11 cable Zip line or more extreme tour which would be a longer three cable zip with one of the cables being 1 kilometer long! You wil also get to experience a rappel of 75 ft and a terrifying tarzan swing.   Then hop back on your ATV and ride home via the Donkey Trail for some more advanced and challenging ATV riding (Optional) down to sea level at Danta Beach where the Catalinas project is located. Horseback Riding to La Fortuna Waterfall

Enjoy a peaceful horseback ride through the Costa Rican countryside to Arenal’s famous La Fortuna Waterfall. We’ll ride for approximately an hour, crossing two creeks and witnessing gorgeous views of the majestic Arenal volcano. Upon arrival at the trailhead, we’ll dismount our horses and hike over 300 steps down until we reach the swimming hole at the foot of this impressive waterfall. This where you will get to relax and cool off in the pool! Horseback riding in Costa Rica is a favorite activity among travelers. On this horseback ride to the La Fortuna Waterfall and Replica Indigenous Village, you will see the spectacular Arenal Volcano and dormant Cerro Chato Volcano off in the distance with gorgeous green countryside all around. The horses are sturdy and friendly bred for tourism and are well adapted to the wet, jungle environment of Costa Rica. This is a slow and easy ride up to the waterfall, so it is perfect for first-time riders, families, or people who really want to soak in the surrounding natural beauty. Throughout your 1-hour La Fortuna horseback ride through rainforest trails, your guide will point out wildlife, and you will get to see beautiful views of the green countryside and the breathtaking Arenal volcano. When you reach the entrance to the waterfall, you will "park" your horse at a rustic ranch and head with your guide down to the La Fortuna Waterfall. There are over 300 steps to get to the base of the La Fortuna Waterfall along a private trail. The last part of the hike down you will have to go over a few slippery rocks, but the trek is worth it! When you reach the bottom, you'll have an opportunity to take lots of pictures and swim in the cool waters of one of the largest waterfalls in Arenal.

Montezuma Tortuga Island Snorkeling & BBQ

A full afternoon at Tortuga Island snorkeling and relaxing. The volcanic rock reef is surrounded by crystalline that makes it an extraordinary snorkeling experience. Our captain will take you to the wonderful white sand beach of Tortuga Island where drinks and fruit will be waiting for you. For lunch our chef serves fresh BBQ fish, chicken, or veggies with delicious grilled potatoes and homemade bread. After lunch the afternoon will be yours to enjoy to hike, swim, rent a kayak, a banana boat, or take a siesta.
